These terms and conditions apply to all patients, website visitors and workshop participants who interact with Logan Hyperdome Chiropractic Centre (we, us, our) at our clinic located at Unit 3/3 Mandew Street, Shailer Park QLD 4128, or through our website at lhcc.com.au.
By attending our clinic, booking an appointment, using our website or participating in one of our workshops, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you have any questions, contact us before attending or booking.
1. Scope of Chiropractic Care
Logan Hyperdome Chiropractic Centre provides chiropractic assessment and care, including spinal adjustments, postural analysis, spinal X-rays and associated health education. Our chiropractors are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and are members of the Australian Chiropractors Association (ACA).
Chiropractic care is a form of complementary and allied healthcare. It is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. We do not diagnose, treat or claim to cure any medical condition or disease. If you have concerns about your health that may require medical attention, we will always encourage you to consult your general practitioner or an appropriate specialist.
Our corrective chiropractic model focuses on identifying and addressing vertebral subluxation to support nervous system function and overall wellbeing. Results vary between individuals and we make no guarantee of specific outcomes.
2. Appointments and Bookings
Making an appointment
Appointments can be made by phone, email or through our online booking form at lhcc.com.au/book. All bookings are subject to practitioner availability. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email or have spoken with our reception team.
Initial consultation
New patients begin with an initial consultation and examination to determine whether you are a chiropractic case. This costs $47 and includes a health history review and physical assessment. You do not need a GP referral to book. The $47 initial consultation is free for additional family members of the same household attending at the same time.
Following the initial consultation, a separate report of findings appointment is scheduled. The X-ray and computerised postural analysis reading fee for this appointment is $47. Any further services recommended, including chiropractic adjustments, are charged at the rates set out in our current fee schedule.
Cancellations and missed appointments
We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the time to another patient who may need care.
Repeated failure to attend scheduled appointments or to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee being applied or future bookings being declined at our discretion. We will always communicate with you directly before taking any such action.
Late arrivals
If you arrive late for your appointment, we will do our best to accommodate you within the remaining time. In some cases a shortened appointment may not allow for a full consultation or adjustment, and you may be asked to reschedule.
3. Fees and Payment
Our current fees are published at lhcc.com.au/fees. At the time of publication they are as follows:
- Initial consultation and examination: $47
- Initial consultation for additional family members of the same household: No charge
- X-ray and computerised postural analysis reading fee: $47
- Spinal X-rays (if clinically indicated): Covered by Medicare
- Standard chiropractic adjustment: $75
- Equilibras orthotic thongs: $77
- Sole Revolution orthotic inserts: $66
Concessional payment options are available for students, pensioners and families. Please speak with our reception team to confirm eligibility. Fees are subject to change and the current schedule will always be displayed at our clinic and on our website.
Accepted payment methods
We accept payment by cash, cheque, EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard. Payment is required at the time of each consultation. We do not offer accounts or deferred payment arrangements.
Private health insurance
Most private health insurers cover chiropractic services. The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) also covers chiropractic care. We recommend confirming your level of cover with your insurer before your appointment. You are responsible for any gap between the amount we charge and the amount your insurer reimburses. We are not responsible for errors in health fund claims or for any insurer’s decision to decline a claim.
Medicare
Chiropractic adjustments are not covered by Medicare. Spinal X-rays may be bulk-billed through Medicare when clinically indicated and a valid Medicare card is presented. We will advise you at the time of assessment whether bulk billing applies to your situation.
Medicare partially subsidises up to five allied health visits per calendar year (ten for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients) for patients with a chronic condition who hold a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan. These visits require a GP referral and generally provide a rebate of around $60 per session, though a gap fee may apply. For further information visit servicesaustralia.gov.au.
4. Your Responsibilities as a Patient
To receive safe and effective care, we ask that you:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your health history, current symptoms, medications and any previous injuries or treatments
- Bring any previous medical reports and imaging including X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRI scans to your first appointment
- Inform us immediately of any changes to your health or circumstances that may affect your care
- Follow the care plan and any advice provided by your chiropractor
- Ask questions if you do not understand any aspect of your assessment, treatment or care plan
- Attend appointments on time and give adequate notice if you need to cancel
We cannot be responsible for outcomes where incomplete or inaccurate information has been provided. If you choose not to follow the recommended care plan, we will respect your decision but ask that you communicate this to us so we can adjust our approach accordingly.
5. Informed Consent
Before any chiropractic assessment or treatment begins, we will explain what we propose to do, why we recommend it and what the likely outcomes and any associated risks are. You have the right to ask questions, decline any recommended procedure and withdraw your consent at any time.
Chiropractic adjustments are generally safe. As with any healthcare intervention there are potential risks including temporary soreness, stiffness or fatigue following an adjustment. Serious adverse events are rare. We will discuss any specific risks relevant to your situation before proceeding.
By proceeding with your appointment after this discussion, you are giving your informed consent to the proposed care. A written consent form may also be completed as part of your patient intake process.
Children and minors
If you are bringing a child under 18 years of age for chiropractic care, a parent or legal guardian must be present for the initial consultation and must provide written consent before any assessment or treatment is carried out. A parent or guardian may be requested to remain present during treatment at the discretion of the treating chiropractor.
6. Spinal X-Rays
Where clinically indicated, we may recommend spinal X-rays as part of your corrective assessment. X-rays are taken on site using a state-of-the-art digital unit that keeps radiation dose to a minimum and meets all government and regulatory standards. Results are discussed with you at your report of findings appointment, which is covered by the $47 postural analysis reading fee.
X-rays involve a small degree of radiation exposure. We only recommend X-rays where they are clinically justified and where the benefits to your care outweigh any associated risk. You may decline X-rays and we will adjust your assessment and care plan accordingly, noting that certain aspects of corrective analysis may be limited without imaging.
7. Workshops and Group Sessions
Logan Hyperdome Chiropractic Centre runs two regular health education workshops led by our practitioners:
- Better Results Faster Workshop — Wednesdays 7:00 to 7:45pm, facilitated by Dr John Swatland
- LHCC Corrective Exercise Workshop — Thursdays 6:45 to 7:15pm, facilitated by Dr Lawson Heath
These sessions are open to patients and their families. Bookings are made at the front desk or by calling (07) 3801 5288.
Workshop content is for general health education purposes only and does not constitute clinical advice or a substitute for individual assessment and treatment. Any exercises or techniques demonstrated in workshops should be performed within your own physical capability. If you have any doubt about whether a particular activity is appropriate for you, please speak with your chiropractor before participating.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to a workshop or class where we believe participation may not be in the best interests of the individual or the group.
8. Use of Our Website
The content published on lhcc.com.au is provided for general health information and educational purposes. It does not constitute clinical advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for a professional consultation with a registered chiropractor or other healthcare provider.
While we take care to ensure the accuracy of information on our website, we do not warrant that all content is current, complete or error-free. We reserve the right to update or remove website content at any time without notice.
You must not use our website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or that infringes the rights of others. Unauthorised reproduction of our website content, images or materials is not permitted without our written consent.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website and in our patient materials, including text, images, videos, workshop content and educational resources, is the property of Logan Hyperdome Chiropractic Centre or is used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Our name, logo and branding are protected. You must not use them in any way that implies endorsement or affiliation without our written approval.
10. Limitation of Liability
We provide chiropractic care with professional care and skill in accordance with accepted standards. However, to the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss, injury or damage arising from:
- Inaccurate or incomplete information provided to us by you or on your behalf
- Your failure to follow recommended care plans or practitioner advice
- Participation in workshops or exercise classes beyond your physical capability
- Reliance on general health information published on our website
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation that cannot be excluded.
11. Feedback and Complaints
We are committed to providing a high standard of care and welcome feedback from our patients. If you have a concern about any aspect of your care or experience at our clinic, we encourage you to raise it with us directly in the first instance.

12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available at lhcc.com.au/terms. Your continued use of our services or website after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
